BloodSpots.net proud to announce we've aquired a Sony PMW-EX1 Full HD digital movie camera as our primary acquisition device for the BloodSpots anthology series.

Shown here with a custom cinema viewfinder accessory, this camera far surpasses the quality found in pervious small-format HD offerings.

With a full 1920 X 1080 24 frame-per-second progressive record mode and the ability to shoot slow-motion scenes at up to 60 fps the EX1 delivers stunning image quality and tapeless workflow.

This camera is the first hand-held camera to be produced in Sony's CineAlta factory, alongside the HDCAM series used to photograph films such as Star Wars and Sin City.
